A new look for smbCloud

We redesigned smbcloud.xyz and the smbCloud Console to be cleaner, faster, and easier to use.

Today we are shipping a full redesign of smbcloud.xyz and the smbCloud Console.

Why we redesigned

The old site went live fast, which was the right call at the time. It worked, but it no longer matched the product or the way people actually use smbCloud.

We wanted the site and console to feel like the same system: clear, fast, and dependable.

What's new

A unified design system

The marketing site and the console now share the same design tokens, including colors, spacing, type, and component patterns. Reading about smbCloud and using it now feels more consistent.

Built for dark mode

The new site defaults to dark mode. That choice is partly aesthetic, but mostly practical. A lot of people land here while fixing something late at night.

A cleaner homepage

The homepage is more direct about what smbCloud does, how it works, and how to get started. The terminal demo now shows what a smb deploy looks like across Node.js, Swift, and Ruby.

Improved navigation

Posts, KTI, and the Console link are always close by. The header stays visible without getting in the way.

siGit

We also added a proper section for siGit Code & Deploy, our native app for iOS, Android, and Windows. It brings Git, editing, and deployments into one place.

What didn't change

The platform itself. Deployments work the same way. Your SSH keys, projects, and apps are all where you left them.

What's next

We are working on better docs, a smoother onboarding flow for new projects, and tighter links between the console and the CLI.
